Sicomatic® questions
Pressure cooking, answered
What is a Silit Sicomatic pressure cooker?
Sicomatic is Silit’s pressure cooker line, sold under that name since 1927 and in continuous production since. The current t-Plus puts pressure selection and release into the handle, with a visible pressure indicator and a TÜV-certified safety system. It cuts cooking times for stews, beans and root vegetables by roughly half to two thirds.
Are Silit Sicomatic pressure cookers safe?
Yes. Sicomatic uses a multiple safety system certified by TÜV: a locking lid, redundant overpressure valves and a visual pressure indicator. Gaskets, valves and handles remain available as replacement parts, so an older Sicomatic can be refurbished instead of replaced.
